NHA Readies 2015 Work Plan

In preparation for the 2015 Work Plan and Budget, the NHA through the Corporate Planning Office (CPO) facilitated the twolevel Corporate Assessment and Work Programming activities held at the NHA Operations Center last October 22-28, and December 01, 2014 respectively.

The first level was attended by Area Management Offices, namely Northern and Central Luzon (NCL), National Capital Region (NCR), Southern Luzon and Bicol (SLB), Visayas Management Office (VMO), and Mindanao Management Office (MMO). Group Managers, Deputy Area Management Officers (DAMOs), Regional Managers, Project Managers, Program Managers and heads of staff departments such as estate management, finance/accounting, collection and monitoring departments tackled their accomplishments as of October 2014, including issues, concerns and action plans. Individual AMO 2015 Work Programs (WPs) and Corporate Operating Budget (COB) were also presented by NHA managers. Other major topics included production, sales, disposition and collection status of the Authority.

At the end of each presentation, catchup plans that are doable by year end, 2015 targets, budgets, sales and collection targets were identified. CPO with other staff units Financial Management Department (FMD), Project Operations Support Services (POSSO), Estate Management Department (EMD), Commercial and Industrial Estates Department (CIED), and Treasury Department rendered feedbacks, comments and advised AMOs on various strategies to address issues and concerns.

Meanwhile, on December 2, 2014, the second level of the corporate assessment and work programming conference was undertaken. The NHA Management was presented with the outputs of the first level assessment, finalized the identified internal and external concerns and determined the specific interventions that will address these challenges. Action plans were laid and issues on manpower, resources and methods were specifically taken up. The GM Atty Chito M. Cruz and Asst. General Manager Froilan R. Kampitan led the different AMOs in coming up with proper systems and approaches for the 2015 WP and Budget.

"We need to do a lot of things next year and whatever budget has been given to us, we will complete these projects and move our housing beneficiaries in our units. Year 2015 is a challenging year for us, as we will have to build the remaining housing units allotted for Typhoon Yolanda victims, housing for Metro ISFs and the continuous distribution of Housing Materials Assistance (HOMA). We triumphantly overcame our past hurdles. For this, I would like to commend all of you for carrying out these big tasks and responsibilities," said GM Atty. Chito M. Cruz.

Furthermore, AGM Froi emphasized the ongoing and two (2) scheduled bidding dates this December to fast track service delivery to housing beneficiaries. He reminded all AMOs to prepare all the necessary documentation required in the bidding process. And once the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is awarded, developers can start land development and construction.
