Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chairperson Jejomar C. Binay graced and awarded Transfer Certificate of Titles (TCTs) to 175 housing beneficiaries of Angeles EPZA Resettlement Project in Brgy. Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City, Covered Court on September 10, 2012.
The 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption victims and the displaced Clark Air Base workers were most of the settlers of the Angeles City, EPZA Resettlement Site. Others included skilled craftsmen, entrepreneurs and employees from laharflows that swept communities along Abacan River.
Said resettlement project in Pampanga is 7.0 kilometers away from Angeles City proper property purchased by NHA from Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) in January 1992. It is a 34.79 hectare area with 2,034 housing units.
EPZA boasts its existing community facilities such as 7 kilometers of main and secondary roads, 3 water tanks and 129 deepwell pumps, one 10-bed clinic, 1 day care center, 1 multi-purpose hall, 7 units market talipapa, 2 open basketball courts, 1 administration building, 2 staff houses, 1 police station and 58 classrooms.National Housing Authority General Manager Atty. Chito M. Cruz, Angeles City Mayor Hon. Edgardo D.Pamintuan, Cong. Carmelo F. Lazatin and Hon. Lilia G. Pineda also attended the event.
