Sixty-five families from Payatas, Quezon City, whose houses were destroyed by fire incidents last January and February 2022, were recipients of financial assistance from the National Housing Authority (NHA) on July 13, 2022.
NHA NCR East Sector Regional Office staff led the distribution of cash grants amounting to P1.895 million, held at the Amiac Village Covered Court, Brgy. Payatas, Quezon City.
NHA East Sector Officer-in-Charge Engr. Maura D. Aggarao said the cash aid was made possible through the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP). Under the said program, NHA provides quick financial assistance to families affected by natural and man-made calamities amounting to P20,000 to P30,000 per family, depending on the damage to their houses.
Based on the distribution list, 60 families each received P30,000 cash assistance, four families were awarded P20,000 each, and one family received P15,000.
