The National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Local Government of Guiuan distributed land titles to 70 beneficiaries of NHA’s Yolanda Permanent Housing Project (YPHP) at the Brgy. Lupok Multi-Purpose Hall, Guiuan, Samar on August 12, 2022.

At present, the 70 beneficiaries reside at Eastwind Residences located at Brgy. Cogon, Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The 20,818-sqm housing project site generated a total of 329 residential units, all intended for Super Typhoon Yolanda survivor families last November 8, 2013.

Apart from housing units, Eastwind Residences also has existing community facilities such as an early childhood care development center and marketplace. Covered court construction is also on-going.

Last November 8, 2021, during the 8th anniversary of the onslaught of Super Typhoon Yolanda, the NHA Samar II District Office and the Local Government of Guiuan also distributed land titles to 160 YPHP beneficiaries.


NHA Samar II District Officer-in-Charge Engr. Reggie J. Mañoso and Guiuan Mayor Hon. Annaliza G. Kwan led the distribution of the land titles, along with NHA Resettlement and Development Services Unit Head En.P. Dorcas T. Secreto, Senior Community Support Services Officer Pamela C. Villas, Guiuan Municipal Urban Development and Housing Officer Eugenia Padual, and other Guiuan Local Government Unit and NHA Samar II staff.
