ABOUT THE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

NHA Assistant General Manager Alvin S. Feliciano is a pure-blooded public servant with an extensive experience in local and national governance for 35 years. He was appointed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr., and was sworn to office on 29th May 2023 before Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” L. Acuzar of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.
Born to a family of public servants, AGM Feliciano has always had a heart for government service. With an ardent desire to serve the people, he took up Bachelor of Science in Public Administration at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and graduated with Latin honors. At present, he is awaiting his graduation to earn his Master’s degree in Development Management and Governance from the University of Makati. Indeed, his hunger and thirst for knowledge fuel his leadership.
As a public servant at the national level, AGM Feliciano took up key positions in various government agencies. He was the Chairperson and CEO of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) for over three years. He was the Deputy Director General of the Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) for two years, handling regional operations. He also worked as the Technical Assistant with the equivalent rank of Assistant Secretary at the Office of the Executive Secretary at the Malacañang Palace from 2011 to 2013.
As a leader in the local government, AGM Feliciano served as the Barangay Captain of Arkong Bato, Valenzuela City, for 13 years. He was the president of the Liga ng mga Barangay-Valenzuela Chapter and the National Secretary and Number 1 Board Member of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas. He also served as Ex-Officio of Sanguniang Panglunsod. During his terms of office in the local government, he authored several important ordinances which greatly impacted the lives of the Valenzuelanos.
Besides his service to the Philippine government, AGM Feliciano also ventured into journalism. He started as a reporter for Headline Manila (1991-1995) and Peoples Journal (1995-1997). Later, he became the managing editor of Diario Uno (1998-2001) and Banat Tabloid (2002-2005). Alongside his media practice, in 2004, he was hired as the Public Relations (PR) Consultant of Ex-Mayor Recom Echiverri of Caloocan City and Ex-Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian of Valenzuela City.
Truly, AGM Feliciano brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and zealousness for public service to the role. His grit in using the position to uplift the way of living of the marginalized and homeless Filipinos in the country ignites his fervent passion for doing greater service.
