FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Program was rolled out for implementation on November 25, 2016 in compliance to Executive Order No. 2 signed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte on July 23, 2016 “Operationalizing in the Executive Branch the People’s Constitutional Right to Information and the State Policies to Full Public Disclosure & Transparency in the Public Service and Providing Guidelines Therefor.
EO No. 2 aims to promote openness in the government by providing a clear, uniform, and speedy procedure for access to information.

From day one (1) that the FOI Program was rolled out for implementation on November 25, 2016, the National Housing Authority started to receive and process all FOI requests lodged manually and thru email.
The Authority religiously complied with all the requirements of the FOI Program and are fully compliant with EO 2 and all FOI Memo Circulars issued by the OP PCOO and submits reports and requirements ahead of deadline.
It also actively supports the FOI program through attendance to various FOI activities and events of the OP PCOO and conduct of series of orientation sessions, planning and assessment workshop for our designated Decision Makers (DM), Alternate DMs, Receiving Officers (ROs) and Alternate ROs.
NHA is now committed to providing the public access to information and moves towards the following:
• Creation of FOI Regional Team
• Implement Learning and Development Programs
• On-board all FOI Regional DMs and ROs to the electronic FOI Portal of the PCOO
• Continued conduct of orientation for designated DMs and ROs on recent FOI directives
• Capacitate receiving officers through skills training
• Conduct of in-house annual recognition for best NHA FOI Team
• FOI Knowledge Management

1. Accomplished FOI Request Form; and
2. Two (2) Government-issued IDs.
