National Housing Authority General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada Jr. led the awarding of housing certificates, and the turnover of the Fountain of Beauty Resettlement Project for victims of Typhoon Usman in 2018 in Brgy. Coyaoyao, Tigaon, Camarines Sur, on June 2, 2022.

A total of 110 beneficiaries were the recipients of the Gawad Karapatan Certificates, while the resettlement project consists of 1,053 housing units also intended for the families affected by Typhoon Usman.

GM Escalada, in his speech, said that during this pandemic, many people have been questioning the government for making them stay home, where they do not have a home. GM Escalada answered this with, “NHA will provide those homes for you.”

Congressman Fuentebella, for his part, was very grateful to the Authority as well as to GM Escalada. “Hindi lang po pabahay and inyong binibigay sa mga tao, kundi tinataas niyo din ang dignidad ng mga tao sa pabahay sa buong Pilipinas,” he said.

Fuentebella also thanked GM Escalada for loving and giving hope to the people of Tigaon through the housing project
