National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada Jr., along with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Eduardo D. del Rosario, spearheaded the groundbreaking of the NHA Region XI Office in Davao City on June 9, 2022.

The five-story, 2,878-sqm edifice will soon rise beside the Madayaw Residences, a Government Employees Housing Program (GEHP) site, in Bangkal, Brgy. Talomo.

The building with roof deck will also accommodate the Davao City/Digos City/Island Garden City of Samal/Davao del Sur and Norte District Office.

Joining the GM in gracing the momentous event were DHSUD XI Assistant Regional Director Owee Laud-Begyan, NHMFC XI representative Sheila Marie Solarte, NHA XI Regional Manager Engr. Clemente Dayot, District 1 Manager Atty. Alper John G. Alcaraz, District 2 Manager Engr. Sonia J. Bulseco, consultants Ar. Susan Nonato, Patrick Ang Ngsuy, and Armando M. Sedentario.

First District Councilor-elect Bonz Andrei Militar, who represented Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, Talomo Barangay Captain Bendor Calamba, and other NHA XI officials and employees witnessed the significant event.
