The National Housing Authority (NHA) allocated P1.055 million in cash assistance to families in Quezon City to help them rebuild their houses which were damaged and destroyed in various fire incidents between August to November 2021.

NHA General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr. approved the release of the cash aid through the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP). Under the said program, NHA provides quick financial assistance to families affected by natural and man-made calamities amounting to P20,000.00 to P30,000.00 per family, depending on the extent of the damage to their houses.

On April 6, 2022, the NHA, led by its NCR East Sector Regional Office, distributed a P100,000 financial grant to four families from Brgy. Paraiso, Quezon City at the Brgy. Paraiso Hall. The houses of the four families were razed by a fire on October 17, 2021.

Likewise, on April 8, 2022, the East Sector Regional Office will release a P955,000 cash aid to 37 family beneficiaries from Barangays Matandang Balara, Holy Spirit, Quirino 2A, and Payatas. The houses of the 37 families were also destroyed by separate fire accidents on August 13 and November 3, 2021.

The turnover ceremony on April 8, 2022 will be held at the NHA Main Office multi-purpose covered court.
