The National Housing Authority (NHA), led by the Region IV Office, has distributed the Certificate of Eligibility for Lot Award (CELA) to 410 family beneficiaries in three separate ceremonies held on October 14 to 16, 2022, as part of the Authority’s 47th Anniversary
celebration.
NHA Regional Manager Roderick T. Ibañez represented General Manager Joeben Tai in the distribution of CELAs to families in Calamba, Laguna; Baras, Rizal; and Naic, Cavite, as he extended GM’s congratulations to the beneficiaries on their new homes.
Ibañez also echoed the sentiments of the GM regarding public service, saying, “Isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit kaming mga nasa National Housing Authority ay nagpapatuloy na magtrabaho sapagkat kapag nakikita namin na may buhay na nagbabago, natutulungan ng gobyerno at nagiging masaya, sapat na kabayaran sa amin ito.”
A total of 300 beneficiaries were affected by the Supreme Court Mandamus to clean and rehabilitate Manila Bay from Bacoor City. Those affected by infrastructure projects in Manila were recipients of the housing units in Rancho Verde 1 & 2 and Ericka Louise Ville.
On the other hand, ten beneficiaries from Calamba who were also affected by the Supreme Court Mandamus were awarded units in La Vista de Calamba. Meanwhile, 100 beneficiaries from Cainta who were affected by the construction of the Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were recipients of Hermosa Ville in Baras, Rizal.
For beneficiary Jay Hessus Nazareno, being a recipient of Hermosa Ville rids him and his
family of the stress of evacuating during heavy rains and storms.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa NHA na nagkaroon kami ng pagkakataon na mabigyan ng sariling bahay na masasabi naming amin at maipapamana namin sa aming pamilya. Simula nang kami’y malipat dito, naalis na ang aming pangamba na sa tuwing may darating na malalakas na ulan at bagyo kami ay lilikas pa,” said Nazareno.
All the housing projects awarded to the beneficiaries are under NHA’s Resettlement Program, which provides housing units to families affected by government infrastructure projects and those living in danger areas.
