Thirty-eight (38) families in Pasay City whose houses were razed by fire recently are the recipients of the financial grants from the NHA on November 23, 2021.

A total of P580,000 cash assistance was approved by NHA General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr., and was awarded to 38 qualified beneficiaries from Barangays 46 Tramo, 187 Don Carlos, 134 Magtibay Street, and 194 Zone 20.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Cuneta Astrodome led by NHA South Sector Regional Manager, Ar. Luis R. Bacamante, Pasay City Mayor Imelda G. Calixto-Rubiano, NHA Pasay/Paranaque/Las Pinas District OIC Engr. Wenson O. Reyes, and Mr. Ian Vendivel of the Pasay City Urban Housing and Development Office.

This was made possible under the NHA Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) which was implemented pursuant to NHA Board Resolution No. 5430 on February 24, 2012. It was formerly known as Housing Materials Assistance Program (HOMA), aimed to give assistance to households and families affected by calamities.

Through the initiative of Senator Bong Go and the leadership of GM Escalada, the EHAP has enabled a quicker response and release of assistance to low-income families and informal settler families (ISFs).
