The National Housing Authority (NHA) has distributed twenty four (24) checks amounting to P10,800,000.00 to rebel returnees on December 15, 2021, at the NHA Main Office in Quezon City.

Recipients of the said grant were former members of the Rebolusyong Partidong Manggagawa-Pilipinas/Revolutionary Proletarian Army/Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPMP/RPA/ABB), now known as the Kapatiran.

Each Kapatiran member received P450,000.00 cash assistance from the NHA under Memorandum Circular No. 2021-36 and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the NHA and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) programs.

The MOA signed on March 30, 2021, provides housing packages or cash assistance to profiled members of Kapatiran in Naic, Cavite, and Bukidnon as part of the peace agreement signed by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and Kapatiran last December 6, 2000.

Meanwhile, on November 16, 2021, the NHA released Certificates of Entitlement (COE) to Kapatiran members. Seven (7) former rebels received house and lot units in CDO Midland Valley Homes located in Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro City. Another seven (7) members were awarded housing units in Pine Ville Project, San Jose, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon
