The National Housing Authority, led by the Community Support Services Department (CSSD) recognized Ms. Editha O. Baylon- an NHA housing beneficiary- as the Outstanding Food Entrepreneur of the Year under the Kabalikat sa Negosyo program of the Ang-Hortaleza Foundation Inc. (AHFI), held in St. Martha Estate Homes Resettlement Project, Brgy. Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan on August 12, 2022.
In celebration of the 25th founding anniversary of AHFI, a competition among the 15 graduates of Kabalikat sa Negosyo program was held to select the Outstanding Food Entrepreneur awardee. The Kabalikat sa Negosyo is a program of the NHA in partnership with the AHFI, which provides sustainable livelihood for its beneficiaries as a form of support for their new beginnings once they have been relocated.
Ms. Baylon, who was among the graduates was selected as the Outstanding Food Entrepreneur of the Year and was awarded personally by Ms. Aurora M. Hornedo, Managing Director of AHFI. According to Ms. Baylon, she is grateful to the NHA and the AHFI for rolling out the program as this has helped her not just to provide her with the essential livelihood for her family, but also helped her hone her skills in cooking and in retail business.
Also present during the awarding ceremony were Supervising CSSD Community Support Services Officer Ms. Maria Luisa V. Esturia, and AHFI Program Manager Kyz Kate Sabanal.
