The National Housing Authority (NHA) and Department of Agriculture (DA) recently opened the fourth Kadiwa Pop-Up Store at Katuparan Village, Norzagaray, Bulacan, on September 16, 2023.

This continuous initiative is spearheaded by NHA General Manager Joeben Tai, making farm-to-market products available for beneficiary-residents of Katuparan Village at a cheaper cost. Some of the goods offered were fruits, vegetables, canned corned beef and sardines, eggs, rice, fresh meat products such as chicken, pork and beef.

In an emotional message, Katuparan Village Homeowners’ Association President Limuel Labastida expressed his gratitude for the initiative of NHA in uplifting the lives of its housing beneficiares. “Maraming-maraming salamat po sa NHA dahil naging matagumpay po ang proyekto ng Kadiwa dito sa Katuparan at mas napalapit sa amin ang inyong serbisyo,” Labastida said.

The suppliers and vendors in the activity were sourced out by the DA- Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) from Bulacan, Pampanga and Nueva Ecija.

Meanwhile, present in the event were NHA Region III Manager Minerva Y. Calantuan and Bulacan District Office Manager Ar. Ma. Fatima T. Dela Cruz, together with the Community Support Services Department headed by Manager Lolita L. Mediavillo.

Moreover, the Authority aims to establish more Kadiwa Stores in NHA resettlement sites all over the Philippines. Just recently, two kadiwa stores were launched in Rizal and one store in Cavite to serve beneficiaries with affordable agricultural products amidst the ongoing inflation.
