National Housing Authority (NHA) has distributed P20,000 each to forty (40) fire victims in Las Piñas City on November 25, 2021. The 40 qualified beneficiaries are from Barangays Talon Singko and Daniel Fajardo.
The awarding ceremony took place at the Talon Singko Barangay Hall. Leading the distribution of the financial aid were NHA South Sector Regional Manager Ar. Luis R. Bacamante, with Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar, and NHA Pasay/Paranaque/Las Pinas District OIC Engr. Wenson O. Reyes, CSS Chief Evangeline Javier.
The release of financial aid was made possible under the NHA Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP), which was implemented pursuant to NHA Board Resolution No. 5430 on February 24, 2012. It was formerly known as Housing Materials Assistance Program (HOMA), aimed to give assistance to households and families affected by calamities.
Through the initiative of Senator Bong Go and the leadership of GM Escalada, the EHAP has enabled a quicker response and release of assistance to low-income families and informal settler families (ISFs).
