National Housing Authority (NHA) has distributed a total of P600,000 to thirty-five families (35) in Parañaque City whose houses were razed by fire on November 24, 2021. The 35 qualified beneficiaries are from Lower Taiwan St., Better Living, Brgy. Don Bosco, Parañaque City.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Brgy. Don Bosco People’s Park Parañaque City. Leading the distribution of were NHA South Sector Regional Manager Ar. Luis R. Bacamante, with Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez, and NHA Pasay/Paranaque/Las Pinas District OIC Engr. Wenson O. Reyes.
Also joining the activity were Parañaque City Councilor Ryan Yllana, Brgy. Don Bosco Chairwoman Conception Navarro, and Bureau of Fire Protection Fire Marshall Supt. Edgar Tanwan.
The release of financial aid was made possible under the NHA Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP), which was implemented pursuant to NHA Board Resolution No. 5430 on February 24, 2012. It was formerly known as Housing Materials Assistance Program (HOMA), aimed to give assistance to households and families affected by calamities.
Through the initiative of Senator Bong Go and the leadership of GM Escalada, the EHAP has enabled a quicker response and release of assistance to low-income families and informal settler families (ISFs).
