The National Housing Authority (NHA) was awarded the certification for the international standards of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) by SOCOTEC Philippines in a conferment ceremony held on February 4, 2022.

SOCOTEC Philippines, Inc., represented by its Marketing Officer Edward Allen C. Valerio, turned over the ISO Certification to NHA Assistant General Manager (AGM) Engr. Victor C. Balba.

The ISO certification ensures that NHA adheres to the international standards on sustaining customer satisfaction, delivering services, improving the QMS, and providing support functions that meet the needs and expectations of the Authority’s clientele.

Furthermore, the ISO certification complements the institutionalization of the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery as provided in Republic Act No. 11032.

Since 2021, the Authority, through the NHA ISO Certification Committee, has worked hard towards its ISO certification. The Stage 1 Audit for the Certification to ISO 9001: 2015 was held on October 26, 2021, while the Stage 2 Audit was conducted on November 15, 2021. On December 17, 2021, the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Compliance was granted to the Authority.

In a speech delivered by AGM Balba, GM Escalada expressed gratitude to SOCOTEC Philippines Inc. He said, “the ISO Certification is a great honor and an amazing achievement for the Authority, a feat that we can be proud of ourselves. It just goes to show that we, the NHA officials and employees, are on the right track in doing our business in Building Affordable, Livable, Adequate and Inclusive (BALAI) Communities.”

He also showed appreciation to all NHA employees for their diligence and consistency in performing their duties despite the pandemic eventually leading to the ISO Certification.

NHA officials present during the conferment ceremony were Management Services Group (MSG) Manager Agnes R. Agay and Corporate Operations and Systems Development Department (COSDD) Isaac L. Nacilla. Meanwhile, other NHA Group and Department Managers, concerned officials and employees, and the Internal Quality Audit team attended the conferment ceremony via Zoom.

Meanwhile, NHA Management extends their gratitude to SOCOTEC Philippines Operations Director Gilmore A. Rivera, Business Development and Client Relations Manager, Concepcion G. Pabalan, Business Development, and Client Relations Officer, Judy May R. Pastrana.
