The National Housing Authority (NHA), together with other key shelter agencies (KSAs), joined the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) as it celebrates its third (3rd) year in service to the Filipino people.
Themed “DHSUD@3: Providing Decent Homes for Filipino Families,” the week-long anniversary celebrations kicked off on Valentine’s Day, February 14, with a Holy Mass at the DHSUD Central Office in Quezon City.
The DHSUD lined up a series of activities for the participation of the KSA officers and employees. There was the showcasing of talents of the housing sector’s staff, along with the online quiz contest relating to RA 11201 and other relevant policies on housing and urban development; the holding of a press conference focused on the sector’s accomplishments and upcoming programs; and a Housing Exhibit, wherein KSAs’ consultation booths, showing displays and presentations, were set up to accommodate the public’s queries; as well as the turnover of check donation to Secretary Eduardo del Rosario for the establishment of the DHSUD Broadcast Room.
One of the highlights of the celebrations was the launch of the DHSUD Hymn by no less than the famous singer and composer Noel Cabangon.
In a message of NHA General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr., delivered by AGM Engr. Victor C. Balba, he extends his congratulations to the DHSUD, especially to Secretary Del Rosario, for their perseverance and hard work in providing services to the public.
GM Escalada said that he is very optimistic that the years ahead will be more productive for DHSUD as it adheres to developing dedicated employees and officers and is championed by a selfless leader whose focus is to be of service to the Filipino people.
Meanwhile, Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling, Home Mutual Development Fund (HDMF) Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti, National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) President Carlos Luis Rabat, and Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) Executive Commissioner Melzar Galicia also gave their brief but inspiring messages, respectively, complimenting the officers and men of the agency.
