The National Housing Authority (NHA) participated in the KaPEACEtahan Peace Fair at the TriNoma Mall Activity Center, Quezon City as part of the agency’s solidarity with and support to the annual celebration of the National Peace Consciousness Month held from September 6 to 8, 2023.

The KaPEACEtahan, through the leadership of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), aims to highlight the key milestones and impact of the collaborative efforts of government agencies towards transformation of conflict-affected communities and to foster peace and development in the countryside.

Various housing project models intended for indigenous peoples (IPs), former rebels (FR), and government employees across the country were displayed as part of the exhibit showcasing the Authority’s initiatives in prioritizing the welfare, culture and values of Filipino families.

“Just this Monday, September 4, the NHA presented to NWMF-BIAF-MILF Front Commander Abdulah G. Macapaar, Al-Hqjj the master development plan for Camp Bilal, Lanao del Norte and was thankfully approved. The NHA’s plan for this community includes areas for housing, institutional buildings, market, school, recreational facilities, and a hospital,” NHA IP and FR focal person Engr. Jessa M. Consuegra stated as a testimony to the agency’s contribution to peace consciousness.

Meanwhile, under the Build Better and More Housing Program, the NHA through the leadership of General Manager Joeben Tai continues to fulfill its mandate to deliver affordable, safe and resilient housing and progressive communities to Filipino families in need.
