National Housing Authority (NHA) Region I/ CAR-1 has turned over 50 generated lots and 50 housing units, specifically loft-type row houses in Binmaley Resettlement Project to the municipal local government represented by Municipal Mayor Simplicio L. Rosario on October 22, 2021.

The project site is a 1.2-hectare land with a modal size of 40 square meters and a 34 square meter floor area.

The turnover ceremony and signing of the Deed of Donation and Acceptance were led by NHA Region I/ CAR-1 Manager Engr. Maria Belinda V. Sevalla and Binmaley Municipal Mayor Simplicio Rosario, together with Pangasinan Governor Hon. Amado I. Espino III and Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region I Director Atty. Raymundo A. Foronda.

The Binmaley Resettlement Project began construction in December 2020 and was completed in April 2021. The ceremonial turnover is a joint initiative between the NHA and the LGU of Binmaley, Pangasinan to provide relocation assistance to the qualified beneficiaries in the municipality under the NHA’s Resettlement Assistance Program to Local Government Units (RAP-LGU). The Regional Resettlement Program addresses the LGU’s resettlement needs and the implementation of local/ regional resettlement projects as a joint National Government and Local Government initiative.

The said activities culminate in the celebration of National Shelter Month in the Region I headed by NHA and participated by DHSUD and LGU as part of their commitment in ensuring resilient homes and sustainable communities for a better normal.
