The National Housing Authority (NHA), led by its Region VII Office, released P55 million cash assistance to the Provincial Government of Bohol to help rebuild the houses of 11,000 families whose homes were damaged or destroyed by Typhoon Odette.

In a ceremony held on December 30, 2021, NHA Region 7 Bohol District Manager Grace V. Solis turns over the check to Bohol Governor Arthur C. Yap and Vice–Governor Rene L. Relampagos.

Joining the event were Bohol 1st District Representative Edgar M. Chatto, Bohol PNP Provincial Director Osmundo V. Salibo, Commander of the 302nd Infantry Brigade BGEN Leonardo I. Pena PA, and the Department Heads of the Provincial Government of Bohol.

The financial grant was released under Memorandum Circular No. 2021-070, approved by NHA General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr., to immediately allocate and release cash assistance through the provincial and local government units that hit Typhoon Odette.

NHA’s Special Emergency Housing Assistance Program (Special EHAP) shall provide P5,000 for each beneficiary family to augment rebuilding their houses, regardless of the damage sustained.
